Hello Dear Friends
I am finally home. I had a wonderful time visiting down at my sisters, but it was time to come home and back back into my real life mode. Goodness it is hot in South Carolina! And can you all say "Bugs"... oh.my.word...they had a feast on me. If it could bite or sting, it got me. My skin is so happy to be back up North. My bug bites are healing and it is nice to sleep through the night without having one itch me to death. Ugh. Ugh. and more Ughs. Other than that, there was just a "RATTLE SNAKE" sighting!!! Guess Where???
IN MY SISTER'S GARAGE!!!!
Holy Cats friends...I almost peed myself when I saw it! Can you imagine if it was alive what I would have done??? Really now. It wouldn't have been pretty! As it was I screamed bloody murder when I saw it. Yep, I did...everyone laughed like crazy while they witnessed Kimmie get a case of the "Vapors" and go running like a madwoman into the house. The dumb thing "slithered" into the garage and got itself stuck in the garage door opener. We started smelling something icky and it was coming from the garage. No one could figure out what died in there and where it was. My brother finally found it. BTW...he let out a very "manly" yelp himself when he came nose to nose with the petrified face of the thing. It was hanging right along side of the silver metal track when he spotted it. Honestly, it blended in so well you had to look good to see it at first. Not that it was "SMALL", it was just very camouflaged. Well, I gotta tell you, I HAD to see it with my own eyes to believe it. But then once I did I wished I hadn't. The rest of my trip I was paralyzed...wouldn't go into the garage, the grass, the pool. I pretty much stayed in the house and I did sit on the porch with my sister but I was always looking around. I'm tellin' ya...I don't know how ya'll (like that? I can do southern talk now) live with all those icky things down there. I mean really? Oh, I forgot to mention the "WOLF SPIDERS" also. Yes...I said WOLF! Big, hairy, scary things. One just waltzed out from under my sisters oven the one morning. She was like..."oh, its just a wolf spider...they don't bite"....HELLO!!!! I don't care...it was ugly!!! Then she added, "I guess my "bug man" hasn't been here in awhile"...Yep, just like that. No big deal. Uhhuh. NO BIG DEAL. I disagree! It made my skin crawl...to me that IS a big deal. LOL.
So.....now that I am done being traumatized and home in my non...rattlesnake, wolf spider, flea, wasp, red ant, palmetto bug, no-see-ims, nat atmosphere, I am much more relaxed. The smell of "deet" has not graced my skin for over a week and I can finally wear my perfume without fear again. "Happy Frickin' Dance!"
So...whats new in your neck of the woods?
Hugs,
Kimmie

You didn't mention love bugs - if you hit one with your car you've actually hit two. Can't tell which way they are flying :)
I've had experience with rattle snakes (one as big as your arm where my kids walked to get to their trampoline). Spiders, yes. Mosquitos UGH. So I feel your bug hating pain.
But I still love the south LOL!
I'm glad you are back within' your comfort zone. I'm glad you are back period!
Hugs Kimmie!!
I really have missed you sweetie.
I've heard about the big bugs in the south. Not a real fan of spiders and other critters that bite. As for rattle snakes, don't want to see them either. We have lots of them here in California. Mean little buggers they are too.
I'm glad you are back home honey. Enjoy the deet free north.
Have a terrific day. Big hug. :)
WELCOME HOME KIMMIE!
So happy you had a wonderful time in SC
We had a little 'party' a few weeks ago....sharing pictures this week.
